Another year almost over!

Our GCSE students have all been working exceptionally hard this year. Well done to Year 11, who have successfully survived the final exam season. It's time now for Year 10 to start looking forward to Year 11, and Year 9 should be thinking about Year 10!

Current Year 9s may benefit from reading the following over the summer break:
  • Romeo and Juliet - Shakespeare
  • Of Mice and Men - John Steinbeck
  • a variety of poetry
  • a good spread of non-fiction texts (articles, reviews, reports, speeches, etc)

Current Year 10s could also plan ahead and read this list of texts:
  • An Inspector Calls - JB Priestley
  • Heroes - Robert Cormier
  • and again, a good spread of non-fiction texts.
Get in touch with your English teachers if you would like advice about revision guides or other ways of preparing, and add a little academia to your holidays!
